EMA Energy Management in Practice Training Programme (LEC 3)

 

The EMA has produced a training programme for individuals interested to gain knowledge needed to operate effectively as an energy manager in a workplace. The programme is intended for candidates who are:

  • - Up-skilling their existing energy management knowledge and skills
  • - Re-skilling from other professions such as sustainability, environment, facilities and engineering
  • - Interested to become energy managers
  • - Newly appointed energy managers

This course will provide participants with an overview of the key knowledge and skills required to become a balanced and hands-on energy management practitioner. It focuses on several common energy uses found in industry and commerce and draws on:
  • - Global view of energy consumption and its impact;
  • - Basic principles and analytical techniques of energy consumption and energy efficiency;
  • - Practical calculations methods;
  • - Technical aspects to energy management;
  • - Managerial aspects to energy management; and
  • - Examples of energy management drawn from global organisations of different sizes.
