An Energy Manager (EM) performs an essential role in ensuring a company or organisation meets its energy, carbon and water reduction responsibilities within the context of wider sustainability imperatives – and the need for continual improvement. He/she needs to be technically aware, numerate, have good communication skills both with senior management and energy end-users – and be keen to broaden and continually improve existing knowledge.
