Organisations in the public and private sector have been working to align their carbon reduction targets to the UK commitment of Net Zero by 2050.

This week’s EMA workshop will help Energy and Sustainability Managers to identify what elements need to be considered while supporting their organisations in defining the net zero carbon pledges and developing the most suitable implementation strategies.

The session will cover:

– Key considerations when defining a Net Zero carbon pledge;
– Engagement of key stakeholders and decision makers;
– Beyond the pledge, defining the implementation strategy;
– Quick wins and long term focus.

The workshop will also provide food for thought about the role of internal and external communication, colleague engagement, energy procurement, heating & cooling, energy efficiency, building optimisation and carbon offsetting in the path to Net Zero.

The session will be presented by Matteo Deidda, Sustainability Manager (Energy and Carbon) at Lloyds Banking Group plc where he utilises his knowledge of the energy industry, sustainability management, engagement and technical expertise to deliver the group’s sustainability ambitions.

Questions will be welcome after the workshop.
