Description

COMMERCIAL EPCs: 2026 REFORMS TO THE ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF BUILDINGS REGIME, CURRENT AND PAST LANDSCAPE – 13 May 2025, 14:00-15:00, EMA Live Virtual Event

This workshop maps the journey of commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) in the UK — from their roots in the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, through key milestones like the introduction of MEES regulations and the 2022 changes to EPC methodology, towards the major reform set out in the 2025 consultation. It highlights how EPCs, Display Energy Certificates (DECs), and TM44 air conditioning inspections are anticipated to be overhauled to meet the UK’s Net Zero targets. Attendees will get a clear, actionable overview of the current EPC regime, the expected upcoming changes — including new multi-metric EPCs, shorter validity periods, tighter efficiency standards, and tougher enforcement — and crucially, what steps they need to take now to protect asset value, ensure compliance, and future-proof their properties ahead of the forthcoming deadlines.

The workshop will offer an opportunity to ask questions.
