ENERGY MANAGEMENT COMMUNITY IN ACTION - A RECAP OF THE LATEST EMA MEMBERS' MEETING

On behalf of the EMA, we would like to thank everyone who attended our recent Members' Meeting. It was a pleasure to welcome so many of our members in person and to have the opportunity to share updates, insights and ideas as a community.

The meeting reaffirmed our commitment to keeping members informed, engaged and central to our work. Members’ contributions and perspectives continue to shape our direction, and we greatly valued the discussions and questions raised throughout the session.

Our full and engaging agenda started with the EMA Metering and Submetering Masterclass that examined the basic types of metering for electricity, gas and water. It included how half-hourly metering works and the loggers that can produce this data for gas and water, the use of AMR, the use of sub-metering in buildings to obtain more granular data, and the deployment of generation metering. Delegates were also able to raise and discuss their metering and sub-metering challenges during the Q&A.

During the second part of the meeting SystemsLink, the new EMA Affiliation Partner, talked through how they optimise the collection, storage and use of various energy data sources with their agnostic approach, introduced their Energy Manager solution and made the most of their session by opening the floor for an exchange of views on the topic, which led to a rich and valuable dialogue among attendees.

The event also offered plenty of opportunities for networking and reconnecting, and we look forward to building on the conversations from this meeting in the months ahead.
