Overall Purpose of the post:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energy professional looking to apply their technical ability in carbon reduction within a modern university. Oxford Brookes has committed to being net-zero carbon by 2040, so the newly appointed Carbon Reduction Manager will be expected to deliver efficiency savings across all energy using equipment (e.g. heating systems and controls, cooling, lighting, ventilation, building fabric). They will also need to be able to develop proposals for optimisation into a series of technical standards for maintenance and operation of each building.

What You’ll Need To Succeed:
●        You will need to be a skilled professional or energy manager in the building technology space ie. building technologist, engineer or building services consultant.
●        You will need to be operationally focused.
●        Degree qualified with energy management experience.
●        You will also need the ability to work under your own initiative to a framework set out by your line manager.
●        Ideally 5 years experience but this is negotiable depending on background/education etc.
●        HVAC experience.
