This presentation explores The Salvation Army’s approach to energy and carbon management across a diverse portfolio of sites and buildings, highlighting the challenges of setting effective strategies in such varied contexts. It outlines the long-term journey towards achieving net zero by 2040, detailing how the overarching strategy was developed and the key principles guiding it. The session will also narrow the focus to the 2024–27 carbon plan, presenting it as a practical stepping stone towards the 2040 target. Attendees will gain insight into current practices, planned projects and the actions needed to balance targets with energy management challenges.
The session will offer an opportunity to ask questions.
