EV CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE – DURHAM COUNTY COUNCIL’S CHALLENGES & LESSONS LEARNT – RECORDING

If you missed this workshop’s live delivery, you can now listen and learn at a time that is most convenient to you.

Achieving decarbonisation at Durham County Council is no mean feat. After declaring a climate emergency in 2019, the Council pledged to reduce carbon emissions from their operations by 80 per cent by 2030, and to take necessary action to make the county carbon neutral by 2050. Projects focusing on the electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EVCI) have become more widespread across County Durham in a move to reduce carbon emissions and make it easier for residents to own electric cars.

This workshop outlined how Durham County Council went about approaching the delivery of their EVCI projects. Tracy Millmore, Electric Vehicle Project Officer focused  on the projects’ objectives and considerations, approach to put the infrastructure in place, and opportunities and challenges identified during the projects’ delivery.
