Sustainability & Workplace Manager at Bournemouth University (BU)
Lois is the Sustainability & Workplace Manager for Bournemouth University (BU) where she leads their approach to addressing the climate and ecological crisis. Lois leads the sustainability team which includes energy management, travel and transport, and sustainability as well as workplace management to make most efficient use of space. Lois is working on a range of projects including heat decarbonisation having recently moved a building from fossil fuel gas to air source heat pumps.
Lois and her team were awarded the Energy Management Team of the Year – Public Sector in 2023 by the EMA and Lois contributed to the EMA women’s only edition of The EMA Magazine. Passionate about career development, Lois works with university students and local schools to help inspire the next generation of energy and sustainability managers.
