Date: Thursday, 6 November 2025
Time: 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Agenda:

Part 1 - Under the Spotlight
14:30 – 15:15   Net Zero Targets - Driver or Burden

As net zero deadlines draw nearer, political consensus is weakening and the financial realities of the transition are becoming increasingly clearer. How are those tasked with delivering the targets navigating the shifting landscape? Established energy management professionals - members of the EMA Board of Directors - will share their perspectives on the strategic, financial and operational opportunities, and challenges of pursuing net zero.

Whether you are navigating the transition yourself or seeking a deeper understanding of its implications, this panel discussion will offer valuable perspectives on the real-world impacts, both positive and challenging of those at the centre of this transition.

15:15 – 16:00   The Evolving Landscape of Energy Management Roles

This panel discussion brings together members of the EMA Steering Group – practicing energy managers, to examine the evolving role of energy management professionals. As the focus expands, including operational efficiency as well as strategic leadership, energy managers are taking on broader responsibilities - driving emissions reduction, supporting net zero and ESG goals, and influencing organisational resilience. This evolution brings with it new challenges: growing skillsets, time pressures and greater cross-functional collaboration, just to name a few.

The session will explore the challenges and opportunities facing professionals in this evolving field, and how they are adapting to meet increasing demands and expectations.

Part 2 - In the Spotlight
16:00 – 17:00   EMA Energy Management Awards 2025

The winners and highly commended entries of the 2025 Energy Management Awards will be announced by representatives from the EMA Board of Directors, Steering Group and our sponsor SystemsLink across 9 categories.
