Description

THE FUNDAMENTALS OF UTILITIES MANAGEMENT, EMA Workshop, 21 May 2026, 14:00-15:00 (UK Time), Live Virtual Event

Utilities management across the energy supply chain, spanning Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), energy suppliers and meter operators is often perceived as complex and fragmented. In the construction sector, particularly on temporary sites, this complexity frequently leads to overreliance on diesel generators due to challenges in planning, coordination and connection to mains infrastructure.

This workshop is designed to simplify the fundamentals of utilities management by explaining the key roles within the supply chain and how they work together. It also highlights practical approaches to effective energy planning. Participants will learn how early coordination, accurate demand forecasting and proactive stakeholder engagement can help reduce reliance on temporary generation, while improving cost efficiency, operational performance and sustainability outcomes.

This session is aimed at energy managers, project managers, site managers, engineers, sustainability professionals, and anyone involved in planning or managing utilities on construction or temporary sites.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and raise your queries with regards to the listed areas.
