The workshop maps the journey of commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) in the UK — from their roots in the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, through key milestones like the introduction of MEES regulations and the 2022 changes to EPC methodology, towards the major reform set out in the 2025 consultation. It highlights how EPCs, Display Energy Certificates (DECs) and TM44 air conditioning inspections are anticipated to be overhauled to meet the UK’s Net Zero targets.
